Dual audio (looped); gouache + watercolour on paper, mounted on board
Collaboration with Laura Hindmarsh
On Laura's last night in New York, a small audience was invited to Claire's apartment. This visit was the first time in several months that they had spent together. Furniture was moved, refreshments served.
Two sets of artwork were hung in Claire's bedroom. Claire's three watercolours from the last 6 months on one side; Laura's gouaches from her recent Paris residency on the other. Dual sound recordings played through headphones on each side of the bed they had shared during Laura's stay. Narrating the personal stories behind each others' three works, the soundtracks to the micro-exhibition provided a kind of metaphoric delayed feedback about two artists, two friends; between them a time passed and time regained.
